ANNOUNCES REMARKETING AGREEMENT WITH IBM
IBM to sell Willow
MQSeries family of products worldwide.
LAS VEGAS, Nevada--June 12, 2000--Willow
Technology, Inc., the leading independent provider of MQSeries client and
server products, announces that IBM (NYSE:IBM) is to resell Willow’s
family of MQSeries products in all geographies. As a result, Willow server
products, including MQSeries for SCO OpenServer, UnixWare, SGI IRIX and
NUMA-Q DYNIX/ptx, will be available to customers worldwide through their
local IBM sales office.
"This agreement offers a major
enhancement in the ability to deliver all MQSeries platform products
through a single point of contact, an important consideration for many
customers. The new relationship supplements Willow direct sales and
Willow’s reseller channel. It allows Willow and its resellers to focus
more on developing the market for MQSeries beyond the IBM customer
base." said a spokesperson for Willow. "There is a perception
outside that base that MQSeries is primarily oriented toward IBM
connectivity and IBM customers, and this is simply not true. There remains
an enormous opportunity for MQSeries middleware as the premier business
integration tool for companies that may not have IBM hardware and software
installed, and Willow intends to leverage that opportunity."
Availability
Customers will be able to order
Willow MQSeries for SCO OpenServer, UnixWare and SGI IRIX products through
IBM after July 25th, 2000. MQSeries for DYNIX/ptx V5.1 will be
available during the fourth quarter of 2000.
